Cockburn Gateway Rocket Rumble

Cockburn Gateway Rocket Rumble

People of Perth you are in for an absolute treat during these school holidays!

For a limited time only, Cockburn Gateway has teamed up with Esports powerhouse Ground Zero Gaming to bring the joy of Rocket League to the People of Perth!

Located directly outside Big W, and offering FREE entry, the Rocket Rumble arena will be running from 2-12 April, 10am-3pm on Mondays to Saturdays, and 11am-4pm on Sundays.

So what can you expect? Inside the Rocket Rumble arena up to 5 people can experience multiplayer games of Rocket League on the Xbox family of consoles. As one of the most popular, accessible, and fun pick-up-and-play games of this generation, this is a fantastic opportunity for kids in particular who are looking for something to do this school holidays and are new to gaming, or those looking to test out their hardcore Rocket League skills while making new friends at the same time.

Colour-in activities and live remote control cars on a real-life Rocket League mini field are also on offer to add to the immersive experience as a whole. Better yet, Cockburn Gateway is also giving away prizes, including an Xbox Series X from JB-Hi Fi, and a Rocket League Remote Control Racer set, to those who sign up to the Cockburn Gateway Kids Club.

Jon from our very own Perth Gaming Crew went down to Cockburn to check it all out meet the team, including Ground Zero Gaming’s CEO Beau Melia and his wife Amanda, who leads the company’s strategy and engagement portfolio. “We’ve had hundreds of children and their parents come through already”, says Beau. He wasn’t wrong, the place was buzzing with curious kids and parents the whole time I was there. “Beyond offering an engaging experience, we also want to promote healthy gaming lifestyles and a glimpse into what Esports can be in Australian communities”, says Amanda.

Want to know more? Why not make the quick trip down to Cockburn Gateway to do some shopping and see what all the fuss is about.
